I have a NEW writing project that I have embarked upon. I have been working on a new poetry book, which is still untitled. Here's the twist, the poems will be aimed at helping college students (or anyone else) build their vocabulary. Each of the poems include a number of words that have been listed in Graduate Record Exam (GRE) prep books.
I was quite successful on the GRE using this method, reading and writing poetry that contained challenging vocabulary. Not only did it help me to remember definitions, it helped boost my reading comprehension! I scored in the top 7% of GRE test takers on the verbal section and I credit my use of vocab filled poetry with that success.
The book is aimed at helping students expand their vocabulary so the book will be affordable (i.e., under $10.00). Also, it will be available in digital format through Kindle on Amazon or in print (shipped directly from me). I will post snippits and previews of the poetry, so keep an eye out!
So I Write
And so I write...to breathe, to sleep, to live, to love...
